C-3 Roundhouse Brawl - Luigi's Mansion 2 Guide - IGN (2024)

C-3: Roundhouse Brawl is the third mission for the Old Clockworks. One of the clock hands has been found, but it's still in the possession of an Ancient Poltergeist. Luigi must find and defeat him to proceed. In this Luigi's Mansion 2: HD walkthrough, we will walk you through every step of the level, including all Boo and Gem locations.

This walkthrough will also work for Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon on the 3DS!

Warehouse

Use the lift in the Warehouse to get to the second level by blowing your Poltergust into the fan on the left. The door you need to enter is covered by debris, so flash the explosive robot to clear the area and head into the upper level of the Roundhouse.

Money Spot: Notice the small chest on the right that moves backward as you approach it. Follow it until it hits a wall to release a Goldie. There is also a large chest on the right side of the room that is covered in webs. Lure the nearby bomb into exploding near the web to clear your path to the safe.

Clockmaker's Chambers

A Greenie is fast asleep on the bed with a bucket on his head, preventing you from stunning it. To awaken the Greenie, pull out the carpet to reveal a fan-type device.

Spin the fan with your Poltergust to change the time on the clock until it reads 9:00. As soon as the clock hits 9:00, an alarm will go off, waking the Greenie so you can deal with him and move on to the Roundhouse.

Ruby #7: When the Greenie wakes up, he will drop the gem he was holding so you can pick it up.

Roundhouse

The Roundhouse is home to several high beams that are quite tricky to cross. Hold your controller, Switch, or 3DS as steady as you can while crossing, and tap the right joystick to jump between beams. The Poltergeist below can't be reached just yet, so head to the Transportation Hall.

Ruby #8: Head down the second set of beams in the Roundhouse to find an area with a chest containing a gem.

Transportation Hall

As you enter this room, you will spy a Boo hiding the key you're looking for in a portrait at the end of the hall. Unfortunately, crossing the hall is impossible as the ground moves beneath your feet, barring your path forward.

Head in the door on the left to start making your way around to the portrait.

Finishing Room

Keep your eyes peeled for the disembodied helmet that follows you around the room. Reveal the Greenie wearing it with your Dark-Light and defeat the ghosts to open the path back through to the hall. Take the back right door to head through the Transportation Room and into the Container Yard.

Money Spot: Go behind the stairs to find a hidden alcove. Suck up the curtain behind the bars to reveal a door and enter it to find another pocket dimension minigame. The lights will go out here, so take note of the layout before the countdown begins. Head counterclockwise along the edge, then back through the middle to the top outer layer, and finally to the middle.

Container Yard

This room contains a bridge, a scale, and a robot dispensing machine. Pull the rope on the right to drop three robots on the scale. Three robots will lower the first bridge so you can cross, and zero robots will lower the scale on the far side so you can reach the door.

Defeat the Slammers that will try and interrupt you, and put three robots on the scale. Once on the other side, flash the robots so they detonate. Wait for the scale to reach the door and back through the Transportation Hall and on to the Kiln Room.

Money Spot: look behind the crate immediately beside the door you entered from to find several gold bars.

Kiln Room

The Kiln Room is covered in steam, rendering your Stroboscope useless. First, use the Poltergust to turn off the wheel on the left, then reveal the wheel on the right and turn that off too. Finally, use the Poltergust to suck in the steam, allowing you to flash the green light and gain entrance to the other half of the Kiln Room.

Watch out as several ghosts pop out to attack you. Defeat the onslaught and go through the back right door to head back into the Transportation Hall.

Hidden Boo: Boodonkulous - This Boo will appear as part of opening up the Kiln Room and progressing with the mission. Defeat the Greenies and the Boo will appear.

Money Spot: Pull on the red chain at the back of the Kiln Room by the door to reveal a gold bomb and flash it for some extra cash.

Transportation Hall

Now that Luigi has reached the end of the hall, use the gear in the middle to bounce your way over to the portrait and get the key. With the key in hand, walk back to the front of the hall and into the Roundhouse. Take the door at the front right to get there.

Roundhouse

The fight with the Ancient Poltergeist will be very similar to the previous Poltergeist battle, with a couple more twists. Not only will the Poltergeist summon bombs to throw at you, but Sneakers will also join the fight to disrupt things.

When the Ancient Poltergeist starts making the Roundhouse spin, leave the center and run around the edges to avoid the onslaught of bombs. Repeat the process and eliminate the Sneakers to beat the Poltergeist and finish the mission. Answer the Professor's call to teleport back to the Lab so you can prepare for the next mission, C-4 Play Catch.

Ruby #9: Before entering the boss battle, keep moving left at the end of the stairs to dip behind a wall and into an alcove containing a gem.

Money Spot: Before heading down to battle the boss, shine the Dark-Light under the stairs leading down to the boss arena. This will reveal a chest with lots of cash and a couple of gold bars!
